Úgy tűnik, mintha csak tegnap lett volna, hogy 1996 októberében a Hungaroringen elkezdődtek a gyorsulások, majd 2006-ban ismét ezrek gyűltek össze a kecskeméti gokartpályán egy hazánkban újonnan debütáló sportág első versenyző fecskéinek szárnypróbálgatását ünnepelni.
Augusztus végén a Drag és a Drift ismét történelmi mérföldkőhöz érkezik, és amire oly sok pilóta és néző várakozott évek óta, most valósággá válik. Ahol eddig Form…a 1-es legendák versenyeztek, ott most az amatőr és profi pilóták fogják tovább öregbíteni az autóversenyzés hírnevét.
Minden szempontból különleges és formabontó rendezvényre számíthat mindenki, aki ezen az augusztus végi szombaton a gumifüst mellett voksol. A profi és amatőr Drag versenyzők mellett profi drifterek veszik kezelésbe a Hungaroring aszfaltját. Reggel 8-14 óráig a drift edzés alatt VW Depó nevével fémjelzett VW Találkozó, szépségverseny, fotózás, gyorsulás és szlalom kerül megrendezésre, délután 2-kor pedig indul a nap két fő attrakciója, megkezdődnek a drag futamok és a drift kvalifikáció is. Mivel estébe nyúló rendezvényről beszélünk, a döntők alatti feszült hangulatot és az esemény misztikus légkörét tovább fokozza majd a kivilágított versenypálya.
Mindkét sportág futamán több neves külföldi pilóta is jelezte már indulási szándékát, a lista egyre csak bővül.
Tehát drag&drift, valamint, tuning autók, izgalmas betétprogramok, hosszú idő után most először a Hungaroringen.

Legendary – Drag&Drift at Hungaroring, Mogyoród

It seems as if it was only yesterday that a Drag event first took place at the race circuit Hungaroring in 1996 and that in 2006 thousands of people gathered in Kecskemét at the go-cart court where the wannabe drift racers could try out themselves at the very first official event of a newly debut sport. Years passed and both the Dragracing Hungary and the Hungarian DRIFT will arrive to another key milestone of their existence, one that all racers and fans waited impatiently over the years. At the end of August a dream comes true, the Hungarian Drift Association’s professional pilots and all the Drag racers will have the opportunity to show their amazing driving skills at the famous Hungaroring race circuit, where all the Formula-1 legends are competing year after year.
This event will be special and unforgettable from all aspects. Besides the drifters, drag racers will be the stars of the day. In the morning, while the drift practice takes place, there will be a jamboree for the VW fans organized by the VW Depot. The main attraction starts in the afternoon with the drag and drift qualification rounds. As the event will end around 10 pm., all the final rounds will be guided by the mystic night lights of this legendary circuit.
Please note that your registration has to be done as soon as possible because we only accept a maximum of 50 attendants for the DRIFT race.
To summarize, Drag&Drift, DriftTaxi, TuningCars, Beautiful Hungarian Ladies, and lots of exciting program for the first time ever at the Hungaroring.
